The general objective of the IQAC is to foster a culture of quality improvement within Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) by ensuring that the academic units adopt and execute QA standards and quality benchmarks.

The particular aims are to:

• Establish a culture of quality assurance in compliance with national QA requirements and worldwide best practices;
•   Ensure the university's quality assurance methods adhere to Quality Assurance Cell (QAC) guidelines and national norms;
• Develop, maintain, and enhance the quality of education and the public's perception of the institution through continuous quality assurance processes and performance;
•   Build the university's reputation and attain the confidence of its constituents by ensuring that all parts of management are transparent, responsible, and based on best practices;
•   Prepare the university to meet external evaluation and accreditation standards for quality assurance;
• Serve as the university's core quality assurance unit and assess existing standards and processes;
• Adapt and incorporate best practices while developing new standards, rules, systems, processes, and procedures;
• Organize conferences, seminars, workshops, and training programs;
• Implement outcome-based teaching and learning in higher education; and
• Standardize the university to fulfill the requirements of professional accreditation organizations.
