Faria Afrin Zinia is an assistant professor in the Department of Urban & Regional Planning at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET), Bangladesh. She is currently on study leave pursuing a Ph.D. in Metropolitan Planning, Policy, and Design with a focus on transportation planning at the University of Utah. She holds a Master of City and Metropolitan Planning, specializing in smart growth, land use, transportation, and accessibility. Her academic interests include transportation planning, transit-oriented development, transport equity, and transportation–land use interactions, with a strong emphasis on data analytics and GIS-based analysis.
